Separate availability from PlasticSCM
Seeing as you are already talking about using this with other source control systems, I assume you will have separate pricing & availability from PlasticSCM.
I always liked the look of XDiff & XMerge, but AFAICT they are only available as part of PlasticSCM. We use subversion & TFS, so there's no way I could purchase PlasticSCM licenses purely to get access to the diff tools!
Thanks!

Thanks, it's great that you want this to be available seperately.
Where is the free installer for PlasticSCM? I can see a community license, but we wouldn't qualify for that (as a corporate entity with > 25 users). If that's what you mean then it ought to made clear on the download page that using just the diff tools is OK for any size team.

Check the "configuration section" at www.semanticmerge.com - you can use it with any version control you like! :-)

In fact SemanticMerge is available as a separate product, fully usable from Git, TFS, Hg, SVN, ClearCase, Perforce... anything you like! :-)

XDiff / XMerge is distributed within the PlasticSCM installers; there is a 'free' version of the installer you can use to 'get access to the diff tools'. I believe you're expected to renew a the free license yearly, but last time I checked that only applied to the source control server, not the diff tool.
