i think it is mandatory for all textual input fields.

Done. 6.0 added speelchecker to the checkin when you write comments.

Ok, we were discussing about it last week.
It seems it won't be easy to add to the current WinForms based GUI, but it would be really easy for a WPF one. Our goal is to start working on a new WPF GUI for Windows, totally redesigned, in the next 6 to 12 months... so it will probably have to wait till then... unless we find a better solution earlier.
