  1. Search restrictions are annoying

    I can't search for 3 character words such as Mac or OSX! This makes search useless for some things and its not like there would be a million hits to return. It might be nice to remove that limitation (or drop it to 2 characters)...

  2. Showing commit comments when viewing item history

    In the UI and on the command line, when you view history on an individual item, there is a space for comments, but no comments are shown. Having these would be nice

  4. Create branch from current checkouts

    We're going to implement a new feature to move checkouts to a new branch.

    Sometimes, you start working in the main branch, and you want to create a new branch with those changes.

    The idea is creating a submenu in the checkin button (in the pending changes view) with the text says "Checkin to a new branch". A dialog will be appear to create a branch and then, the checkin will be done to the new branch. Of course, the workspace will be switched to that branch.

    Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated

  5. Updated version of Jenkins/Hudson CI plugin needed for Version 4

    Before we can use Plastic 4, we need the plugin for our Jenkins CI build server to work.

  6. Upgrade from version 3 to version 4 needs completed

    A major missing feature of Version 4 is the seamless upgrade of a version 3 installation to the new version 4 format.

  7. Keyboard Shortcuts

    All buttons and labels should have an ALT shortcut key. For example On checkin dialog, you have to press "Checkin" button using "Mouse" or pressing "Tab" several times. But we should be able to do that for example by pressing "ALT + C" button.

    Note: I know we have shortcuts for example to open the "Checkin" dialog, but I mean shortcuts for buttons and labels to prevent of using Mouse or pressing Tab.

  8. Checkout from VS 2010 using Replace All very slow

    In Plastic 4.0 I use Replace All to change all versions of our assemblies. With Plastic 3 I got around 1 sec per checkout, now it is roughly 6 sec/checkout. My guess is that you are doing some refreshing of the panels for each file and this makes the whole process very slow.

  9. Allow multiple lines in check in comments in Visual Studio 2010.

    The check in comments dialog only allows a single line. The enter key doesn't create a new line, so the lists of changes made looks bunched up.

  10. The Items tree/list view could use a string filter option to find files.

    Most of the other views have a filter box. I think this would be very useful on the "Items" view as well.

  11. Option to automatically switch workspace when creating a new branch.

    When I create a new branch, I would like to automatically switch to that branch. If not automatic, another possibility is a dialog box asking to if I would like to switch to the new branch.

  13. Fast-Export / Fast-Import from GUI

    Would be nice if we could right click in DBrEx and then Replication -> Fast Import / Fast Export this repository.

    Then, a window should be shown and we fill the others arguments available in CLI.

    What do you think? :)

  14. Fix to Attributes and BranchExplorer

    I had a situation where I had an attribute defined for one repository and used it in the branch explorer for custom formatting rules. If I used the Branch Explorer to view any other repository it would crash the GUI. If I then deleted the attribute without removing the formatting rules it would crash the GUI everytime I launched it.

  16. Changes in cloaked items can be hidden in the pending changes view and command line

    Have the ability to completely ignore anything happening in a cloaked folder, even if it is deleted from the workspace.

  17. Option to Undo Checkouts for unchanged files

    This option should be available in the "Pending Changes" window. This would allow you to remove files from your pending changes list that haven't been modified. This allows you to better see which files you actually modified and is a very "popular" feature of Perforce.

  20. v3 -> v4 migration documentation

    I'm tired of hearing how great v4 is and not being able to migrate to it. This really needs to be your highest priority right now if you care about existing customers (hint: you should).
