  1. Currently I use StarTeam revision control but evaluate PlasticScm. The first thing I noticed is that it is not possible to hide files marked with Private/Ignored and Controlled/Hidden changed in the Items view.
I don't want to see temp, exe-files etc here.

  3. In Plastic 4.0 I use Replace All to change all versions of our assemblies. With Plastic 3 I got around 1 sec per checkout, now it is roughly 6 sec/checkout. My guess is that you are doing some refreshing of the panels for each file and this makes the whole process very slow.

  4. If we create a new branch and switch to it then the branch appears as empty and the little house icon is not moved to the new branch.

if we make a merger from another branch then the merge is done to the previous branch.

  5. I had a situation where I had an attribute defined for one repository and used it in the branch explorer for custom formatting rules. If I used the Branch Explorer to view any other repository it would crash the GUI. If I then deleted the attribute without removing the formatting rules it would crash the GUI everytime I launched it.

  7. It would be handy to have a toolbar with all the Plastic views/commands inside of Visual Studio, similar to the "Source Control - Team Foundation". Likely this would have the same buttons as the View -> Plastic SCM menu, but could include other shortcuts.

The View -> Plastic SCM menu is a bit obscure and hard to find.

It has been finished this week! And it will integrated in the build 268 on Tuesday, and we will make it public next week.

  9. A major missing feature of Version 4 is the seamless upgrade of a version 3 installation to the new version 4 format.

  12. This option should be available in the "Pending Changes" window. This would allow you to remove files from your pending changes list that haven't been modified. This allows you to better see which files you actually modified and is a very "popular" feature of Perforce.

  13. All buttons and labels should have an ALT shortcut key. For example On checkin dialog, you have to press "Checkin" button using "Mouse" or pressing "Tab" several times. But we should be able to do that for example by pressing "ALT + C" button.

Note: I know we have shortcuts for example to open the "Checkin" dialog, but I mean shortcuts for buttons and labels to prevent of using Mouse or pressing Tab.

  14. We're going to implement a new feature to move checkouts to a new branch.

Sometimes, you start working in the main branch, and you want to create a new branch with those changes.

The idea is creating a submenu in the checkin button (in the pending changes view) with the text says "Checkin to a new branch". A dialog will be appear to create a branch and then, the checkin will be done to the new branch. Of course, the workspace will be switched to that branch.

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated

  15. When I create a new branch, I would like to automatically switch to that branch. If not automatic, another possibility is a dialog box asking to if I would like to switch to the new branch.

  18. When differing or merging code, would be great if we could have some syntax highlights to other languages like C#, Java.
Add syntax highlight like Visual Studio to .cshtml, .css, .js and etc.
    Something like notepad++ does.

  19. I'm tired of hearing how great v4 is and not being able to migrate to it. This really needs to be your highest priority right now if you care about existing customers (hint: you should).

  20. After you enter in the information for the new repository, and go back to the "new workspace" dialog, it still has the last selected repository selected. Automatically selected the repository just created would be nice.
