Add syntax highlights when using merge and diff windows
When differing or merging code, would be great if we could have some syntax highlights to other languages like C#, Java.
Add syntax highlight like Visual Studio to .cshtml, .css, .js and etc.
Something like notepad++ does.59 votesWe made a huge change in the texteditor and now all sort of syntax highlights are supported. Anything after (BL680 (and earlier too, but just a hint)) will do

Don't change the indentation character when editing in Merge Tool
If a line of text is indented using tabs and the line is edited by typing in Result file box in a Merge Tool, then the indentation is modified to spaces. The indentation should not be modified!
57 votesThe task has been finished. Public Release 5.0.44.608 (Sep 26th 2014)
Merge tool: If a line of text was indented using tabs and the line was also edited in the ‘Result file’ textbox, then the indentation was modified to spaces. Fixed. Now, the tabs are preserved in this case. -

Change order of conditional format rules
Please add buttons to change the order of conditional format rules. They are check from top to bottom and the first hit is used. When I add a more specific rule this should be above all the other rules, but new rules are added at the bottom, so I need to remember all rules, delete them and recreate them in the right order...

Create a native OSX Client
Currently the OSX client uses X11, is quirky, and sometimes crashes. Maybe we could use a native version of the OSX client!

Add ability to color changesets by User
I know it's possible to have changesets colored by replication source as part of a DrBrEx, but would it be possible to add a Display Option to color changesets by User? It seems like it might be easy to add another filter for this.
I did try the "Conditional Format" options, but this seems like it might be for branches only.

Put Added and private items at the end of a Pending changes list
Added and private items behave differently than all other three types of changes (Changed, Deleted, Moved). They are not really changes, actually. I think they should be separated more clearly. Now, it is not so easy to understand why Added and private items do not respond to Undo changes (http://www.plasticscm.net/index.php?/topic/1251-updated-list-of-feature-requests/) and on the other side it is easy to overlook some deleted or moved items which are listed bellow Private items (http://www.plasticscm.net/index.php?/topic/1291-some-ux-issues/#entry8989).

Full PlasticSCM 4 Integration to TeamCity 7.1
The current integration doesn't work perfectly with Plastic 4.1 and TeamCity 7.1. See this thread for instance: http://www.plasticscm.net/index.php?/topic/1152-teamcity-plugin-run-build-with-specific-cs-not-working/
50 votesWe have completed the 2 mayor bugs that were affecting the TeamCity Plugin.
Not the plugin works much better.

We’ll be happy to resolver further ideas in a different thread.

Wider checkin comments history
A checkin comments history drop down list is quite narrow and a lot of our comments don't fit there and end with ellipsis. When somebody use two or more comments with a same beginning, he or she cannot differ between them.
It shouldn't be a problem to make it wider and/or add a popup with the whole text on a mouseover.48 votesReleased at 5.4.16.613

Advanced LDAP Support
Plastic currently only supports basic LDAP integration.
In real-world scenarios, things aren't as clear cut and simple.
I propose extending LDAP support in the following ways:- Support secure LDAP (LDAPs). Including self-signed certificates on the LDAPs server.
- Ability to specify Root DN.
- Ability to specify User search Base.
- Ability to specify User search filter (ie, something like sAMAccountName={0}).
- Ability to Specify Group Search Base.
- Ability to Specify Group Search Filter ((& (cn={0}) (objectclass=group) ))
- Group Membership definitions (can optimize with memberOf property).
- Configurable Local Caching of credentials, TTL etc ....
47 votesHi,
We have released the following task. it’s compatible with the new .NET Core Plastic server:
[New] 9.0.16.4227
Server: secure LDAP connections now supported on port 636
We added support to the Plastic server for SSL connections to your LDAP server.
Configure your server (using the “plasticd configure” command, or the web based administration tool) to switch the LDAP port from 389 to 636 to take advantage of a secure connection to LDAP, assuming your LDAP server is configured to support this.
Regards,
Carlos.

Go to the commented line in Code review directly on first double click
First double click on a comment in a Code review tool takes you to the file containing the commented line and only the second double click takes you to the commented line. I don’t see the reason for such behavior; it is irritating actually. It would be nice, if the first double click takes you directly to the commented line without the need to switch to that file in a separated step.

Make Diff a default action in File History (table and graph)
I found myself many times to mistakenly open a revision of a file instead of showing a diff, when clicking on a changeset in a History or a History Graph of a file (not in a history of a directory or the overall history = Changesets / Branch Explorer). I think it would be more consistent to open always diffs by default.

Have a user-definable 'Open With...' in the items view
Most of my files are text files, although they have various file extensions (sql, txt, src, srd, etc). Each time I right-click to open it, I have to go to Open With... and select my text editor. It would be nice to be able to define a default 'open with' application.

Jira integration should be able to transition issues through Jira workflow and maintain all data
Jira integration should be able to transition an issue once it is checked in to PlasticSCM with a tag like [FIXED], and then this will move the issue in Jira to the 'Ready for QA' column in the workflow. It should maintain in the information who committed the change, the changeset, any details available.
42 votesGlad to say, this feature is available starting on release 6.0.16.1515, published today. For further information on how it works, check the release notes available here: https://www.plasticscm.com/download/releasenotes/6.0.16.1515

Give the user the ability to close a workspace tab
Allow the user to close a workspace tab, without it being removed from the All Workspaces list. Should then be able to re-open the workspace from the All Workspaces list.

Add syntax highlighting to Annotate
At least the simple one as it is in an internal diff. However, it should be enabled by default (and/or remember that I enabled it). It would be even better if it was able to use the syntax highlighting automatically according to a file extension.
